Complete electrical upgrade for new commercial kitchen including hood fire suppression interlock and Type I hood power.
Project Overview
A new restaurant opening required full electrical infrastructure for a high-volume kitchen.
Challenges
- Coordinating with multiple trades in a tight timeline
- Meeting health department and fire marshal requirements
- Working in an occupied mixed-use building
Solution
Installed dedicated circuits for all cooking equipment, tied makeup air and exhaust fans to the Ansul fire suppression system, and provided shunt-trip breakers for gas shutoff.
Results
The kitchen passed final inspection on the first visit and has operated flawlessly since opening.
